Election 2025 Survey

Fixed dates for both the municipal and federal elections next year are currently set for the same date - Monday, October 20, 2025.

Strathcona County would like to know if you are likely to vote in the municipal election, and if you would be interested in working the election.

We’d also like to get an indication if you would be more likely to vote if the municipal election date was moved to be held on a Saturday. Strathcona County Council could pass a bylaw before June 30, 2025 to change the municipal election day to Saturday, October 18, 2025. This could be two days before the federal election.

Survey results and other considerations will inform a recommendation to Council on the Strathcona County 2025 municipal election date. Approval of a date is expected later this year through the Election Bylaw.
