Strathcona County and the Agricultural Service Board want to hear from YOU!

Strathcona County and the Agricultural Service Board (ASB) launched this online engagement platform to connect with everyone who makes agriculture part of their life – whether it’s your lifestyle or livelihood.

Here in Strathcona County, we define “agriculture” as the growing of plants or raising of animals for food, fibre, fuel or visual appeal (like flowers), to be used at home or for sale.

Knowing this, are you a producer, landowner, agri-business operator? Or are you simply passionate about gardening or rural life? Your insights and experiences are all essential to help shape the future of agriculture in Strathcona County.

This initiative builds on the Agricultural Framework, our vision for agriculture in Strathcona County—carrying forward the legacy of the Agriculture Master Plan. Shaped by community values and emerging priorities, the Framework will guide future strategies and initiatives across County departments to ensure agriculture remains strong, resilient, and responsive to change.

Through this platform, we're growing opportunities for communication, education, and celebration of agricultural producers, agriculture, and agri-food—all essential to sustaining the livelihoods and lifestyles that define our rural communities.

Take our quick survey here to help us better understand production in Strathcona County. This survey should take just 1-2 minutes, and will be open until January 16, 2026.
