FAQs
What are Open Space Classifications?
Classifications define how different types of open spaces serve community needs.
Classifications guide decision on the appropriate role, catchment, size, quality, and amenities of open spaces. They provide an initial framework for spaces while allowing open spaces to adapt to their context in existing areas and guide open space planning in new development areas. They set expectations and support the consistent planning of open spaces county-wide.

Wyecliff Park is classified as a community park, which is defined as a medium-sized park that supports many types of activities and may be co-located with community facilities, such as a school. A shared space for recreation, relaxation, and cultural experiences. Community parks offer a higher level of service and are built to meet both everyday and less frequent community needs.
