The Strathcona County Transit Master Plan update is underway!

The What We Heard report, under Transit Master Plan documents on the right, summarizes your feedback from the first phase of our project. Since completing this phase, the draft Transit Master Plan (TMP) has started to take shape. The TMP includes recommendations for important route and service updates that may affect our transit riders.

While our next round of engagement will take place in September 2024, we would like to share information about the direction of the draft Transit Master Plan with you today. You can find information on proposed route and service changes in the SCT Transit Master Plan Public Update June 2024 document under Transit Master Plan documents on the right-hand side.

Please provide your feedback on the changes/improvements being proposed in our short survey below available until August 2, 2024. Please have the SCT Transit Master Plan Public Update June 2024 document open while you complete the survey.

Why now?
The update will guide the County’s transit operations into the next 10-20 years and build on the strengths of our current plan. The update will include analysis and planning for a post-pandemic era so we can adapt to the changing needs and priorities of our community.

Timing

The next round of public engagement for this project will take place in September 2024. You can expect:

  • An online Survey launched through the County Voice;
  • Transit Terminal Pop-up events; and,
  • Stakeholder Workshops.

We look forward to your thoughts on what this public update presents during our September engagement!

Next steps

Your input will be used by the project team to better understand your current transit needs and identify areas for change or improvement in the current Transit Master Plan. Your feedback will be considered by the project team in the development of recommendations for the final Transit Master Plan update.

Check back to this project page for project updates and to learn about future opportunities to engage.
