The County is updating its Strategic Plan priorities. But what is a strategic plan? And why does it matter to you?

Where are we going?

Think of this plan like our map, plotting our journey to becoming Canada's most livable community. Four goals point us in the direction we want to go:

1. Responsible development
2. Economic prosperity
3. Municipal excellence
4. Healthy and safe community

Each goal has priorities that guide us on our journey. We're reviewing the priorities to make sure they're current and relevant to you and our community to guide our work and meet your needs.

So what?

We want to know--are these priorities your priorities? What matters to you? The input of our community and Council will be used to draft updated priorities. When these are approved by Council in December 2025, they'll be publicly shared in early 2026.
