What We Heard report now available. View the report.

The What We Heard report is comprised of feedback gathered from focus groups and a survey that took place in late 2023. This report will be used alongside other policies and plans to inform the feasibility study for the Strathcona County Museum and Archives. The final feasibility study will be presented to County Council in late 2024.

Project background

The Strathcona County Museum and Archives is a non-profit organization operated by the Strathcona County Heritage Foundation board since 1986 and funded through an agreement with Strathcona County. Since 1995, the Museum has been housed at Sherwood Parks first fire hall.

In mid-2023 Reimagine Architects were engaged to work collaboratively with Strathcona County Cultural Services administration and the Strathcona County Museum and Archives board and staff to develop a Feasibility Study to help the County determine the vision, scope, cost benefits to the County and community and when a new Museum and archive can be realized. The final study will be presented to Council in Q1 2024.
