'Navigating Tomorrow' survey

In September 2025, the City of Edmonton, Strathcona County, the Government of Alberta and other regional partners launched the Navigating Tomorrow – Edmonton Region Household Travel Survey.

This annual survey looks at how people get around the Edmonton metropolitan region and the reason behind their travelling. The information will help decision-makers make informed choices about transportation and future infrastructure at the local, regional and provincial levels.

The Navigating Tomorrow survey is led by the City of Edmonton.

What to expect
A random sample of Strathcona County households will be invited to participate in the survey each year. If your household is selected, you will receive a letter in the mail that includes:

  • Your unique access code for online survey completion.
  • Information on how to participate online or by phone.
  • Contact details for support or questions.
  • Brochure with additional information on the survey process.

By taking the survey, you're helping to make our transportation system better for everyone. This means a better choice for your daily travel needs, improved transit services and an accessible and affordable transportation system for all.
