The fixed federal election date is Monday, October 20, 2025, the same day as the fixed municipal election day.

Strathcona County Council could pass a bylaw before June 30, 2025 to change the municipal election day to Saturday, October 18, 2025. Other municipalities would continue to vote on October 20th, unless they also pass a bylaw moving the date.

We are seeking public feedback on how the coinciding dates may impact people's likelihood to vote in the municipal election, and whether or not it would be better to move the date to the Saturday.
